Tech consulting

We help founders and operators choose stacks, plan products, audit codebases and decide what to build, buy or retire.

Overview

Many expensive software mistakes happen in the first month: the wrong platform, an agency brief that misses the real problem, an architecture that cannot grow. We help you avoid them. As a fractional technical partner, we review plans, codebases and vendor proposals, and give written recommendations with the trade-offs spelled out. Engagements range from a single audit to an ongoing advisory role. Our advice comes from building, so it accounts for cost, hiring and maintenance, not only what looks good on a diagram.

06 — Why Foxbeta

  • 01

    Advisers who build

Our recommendations come from engineers who ship production software, not from slide decks.

  • 02

    Written and specific

You get concrete recommendations with reasons and trade-offs, not a vague list of best practices.

  • 03

    No obligation to hire us

Our advice stands on its own. Many reports end with a plan your in-house team or another vendor can follow.

  • 04

    Context across markets

We understand the differences in payments, compliance and hosting between India, the Gulf and Western markets.

08 — FAQ

What does a technology consultant actually do?
We help you make technical decisions with confidence: which platform to use, whether to build or buy, how to structure a system and whether a vendor proposal is sound. The output is always a written recommendation you can act on.
Can you audit our existing codebase?
Yes. A code and infrastructure audit typically takes 1–3 weeks, depending on size. You receive a ranked list of risks, quick wins and longer-term recommendations.
Do we have to hire you for the build afterwards?
No. Our consulting stands alone. If you want us to build, we can, but many clients hand our roadmap to their own team.
How are consulting engagements priced?
Defined pieces of work such as audits are quoted as a fixed fee, and ongoing advisory runs as a monthly retainer. We give a fixed quote after a short discovery call.
Do you work with non-technical founders?
Often. We explain options in plain language, help you write a clear brief and stay involved so you are never dependent on a vendor you cannot evaluate.
Can you help us choose between agencies?
Yes. We review proposals side by side, flag gaps in scope and ask the technical questions that reveal how each team would work.
